I recently downloaded the Nitrogen program to my home PC from Download.com. There were no instructions in red on the opening screen of the program, but it was fairly easy to figure out. I selected a non-protected song from our personal collection, setup a 30 sec portion for my ringtone, entered my carrier (Verizon), phone make (Motorola), but since K1m was not a listed model, I ran through the phone test. It was successful. I then sent the 30 sec. ringtone. It was successful. Subsequently, I found 2 more unprotected songs from our personal collection, and set up 25 and 29 sec clips for ringtones. This time neither went through. I thought maybe it was because we live in an area where we do not have cell phone reception, and waited until the following day before we were in a reception area before checking for messages. The next day we tried sending the ringtones again, but this time went to an area where we had reception (about 15-30 mins later), and received one of the ringtones. However, it was only 3-5 secs long...an incomplete file! We tried sending the second ringtone again, but got the same 3-5 sec incomplete file result. Can anyone tell me how come it worked the first time, but subsequent tries gave the noted results? |

Hi - The ringtones come to the phone via MMS messaging which is delivered through your data network, not your cell network. If there is weak data reception in your area, it could be the cause of the problem. Another source of the problem could be the available memory on your phone. If you have other ringtones, games, music, pictures or other media on your phone, they could be using up most of the available space. Also, please be aware that there is a limit determined by Verizon as to how long you can wait between sending the ringtone and receiving it. If you wait until the next day, the ringtone may no longer be available. So far, your K1m is the only phone we've had report this problem. If you want to discuss this in detail. PM me or email support@djnitrogen.com Please let me know if you have any other questions. Sincerely, Mike DJ Nitrogen Customer Support support@djnitrogen.com |
